Ms. Freeman has been a teacher in the History department at Boston Latin School since 2000. She is the Seevak Chair in History and teaches courses in Facing History and History of Art and Architecture. She earned her A.B. in Art History from Vassar College (1978), her M.A. in History of Art from Johns Hopkins University (1979), her M. Phil. and ABD in the History of Art and Architecture from Yale University (1982), and her M.A.T. in the teaching of history from Tufts University (1999). She has two daughters, Jessica and Rebecca, and three stepdaughters, Emma, Ingrid, and Lizzie, and lives with her husband Tony and their labradoodle Walter (named for legendary journalist Walter Cronkite) in the South End.
